The Living Amongst the Dead: Floral Distribution and Diversity of Alien and Native Plants in Cebu Memorial Park, Cebu City, Philippines

Metro Cebu, Philippines has a history of over 800 years urbanization, making it unique location for urban ecological studies. Urbanization can have significant impact on floral communities, but the species composition and variety cemeteries in Cebu not been reported. We calculated richness (N), abundance (n), evenness (PE), diversity (H' D) by conducting first survey (local plants alien plants) an cemetery Cebu. Subsequently, we evaluated distribution pattern relationships between human activities. A total 61 (n=1,515) were recorded, with proportion APs (n=53; 86.88%) being much larger than number NPS (n=8; 13.11%). Shannon-Wiener Diversity index was to be 2.69, Simpson's 0.16, Pielou's Evenness 0.65. Our research provides information Philippines, serves as baseline future studies conservation efforts.
